Exploring the stories of women who live by a ride-or-die philosophy

World Premiere

OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME

A Co-Production by Cahoots Theatre & Obsidian Theatre

by Amanda Parris

Directed by Nigel Shawn Williams

Amanda’s kinetic political script gives voice to Black women who support their men and live with ride or die philosophy. Set in contemporary Toronto, as well as during the Canadian Black civil rights movement, the play intersects these shifts in time with a prison waiting room, where the women are forever waiting.
